Creative corporate videos: ideas and real examples for your company
Updated November 5, 2026
A corporate video is creative when it starts from something only your company can tell, not from effects or epic music. Find a specific story (a person, a mistake, a working day), tell it in a way your audience doesn't expect and fit it to where it will be watched. It works in serious sectors too.
What makes a corporate video creative
A corporate video is one a company makes to talk about itself. It's also called a company video, a brand video or, when it's more formal, an institutional video. And many of them look alike: the drone over the warehouse, the meeting full of smiling people, the voice talking about commitment and excellence. Take off the logo and it could belong to anyone.
There's a quick test to see whether your idea is on the right track: could another company in your sector sign this video? If the answer is yes, there's no idea yet. Creativity comes from what only you have: how your product gets made, the mistake that forced you to change, what a client tells you on day one, the person on the team who knows everything.
To create a creative video you need to make three decisions: which specific story you tell, who tells it and in what form. All of that gets settled before the shoot, in the creative concept.
Innovative doesn't mean new technology either. A person telling something interesting, and telling it well, stays with you longer than a minute of 3D animation with nothing to say.
Ideas for creative corporate videos
If you're wondering which parts of your company might interest anyone, these ideas work in almost any sector, and none of them needs a big production.
A day with someone on the team. Not the CEO's speech, but what the person who opens the workshop, or who handles the hardest client, really does.
The story of a mistake. What went wrong, what you changed and what you learned. It builds more trust than a list of achievements.
The product from the inside. How it's made, in close-up and without a voice-over, using only the real sound.
The beginner's question. Someone who knows nothing about your sector asks your best expert what everyone wants to know. It works very well for technology and for services that are hard to explain.
A client's before. Not how happy they are with you, but what their problem looked like. The rest explains itself.
Your company in a minute. What you do, said quickly and with some rhythm, for your home page.
The year in thirty seconds. The best moments, for social media.
Each idea can stay a single piece or grow into a series, which gives you material for the whole year.
How to make a funny corporate video without losing credibility
Humour scares companies, and that makes sense: a bad joke stays on your website for good. But when it works, people watch to the end and remember you.
What works best is laughing at a situation your client recognises, never at the client. The meeting that could have been an email, the order that lands late on a Friday, the question you get every week. Whoever is watching thinks "that happens to me", and they're in.
Our clearest example is the Christmas campaign for Bunker, a brand of anti-theft products. At the end of the year everyone is fighting for attention, so we proposed a storybook world in the style of Willy Wonka, with absurd humour and the product woven into the story, in two thirty-second spots made for social media.
The limit is set by your audience. If you sell machinery to a plant manager, you can get a smile in the first scene and give the data afterwards. And sometimes it's not the moment for laughs: in an institutional video, or when an investment is involved, the creative move is to find a human story and tell it with care.
One useful check: show the script to someone outside the company. If they don't find it funny, it's an in-joke.
Real examples of corporate and promotional videos
These are pieces of ours from very different sectors. In all of them, the form comes from each company's problem.
Qilimanjaro works in quantum computing in Barcelona, so the challenge was to explain something very hard without losing rigour. For SpeQtrum, a highly technical product, we used motion graphics in a piece of under two minutes. To put a face to the team, we filmed Dídac, the lab manager, in just over a minute. And in Accelerator, a three-minute mini documentary, the CEO, Marta Estarellas, tells the story of the project with time to breathe. That's more than fifteen videos, and none of them tries to say everything.
Audiovisuales Data sells professional equipment to other companies. There, the creative job was making the technical easy: demonstrations and a digital catalogue that turns spec sheets into visual content, which the company uses in its sales presentations.
If you're looking for examples of promotional videos, for La Bunker anti-theft backpacks we shot three spots on the streets of Barcelona, each one about a different side of the product, all with the same urban look. And for Dr. Pizza, in its campaign with Glovo, we made videos of under ten seconds for people scrolling fast through a delivery app.
The most common types are presentation, product, testimonial, events, talent and internal: we explain them in what a corporate video is.
Templates, AI or a production company: what suits you
Plenty of people search for how to make a corporate video for free, with templates or with AI. All three have their place.
With a template and a few photos you can sort out an internal notice or a seasonal greeting in an afternoon. Just bear in mind that lots of other companies use the same template, so it won't set you apart.
AI can do more than it seems: voice-overs, subtitles, versions in other languages and worlds you could never film, like Bunker's. But that campaign holds up because there's an idea, art direction and post-production behind it. And AI can't film your factory or your team, which is what builds trust.
When a video has to help you sell, hire or win over someone important, it deserves a production that's been properly thought through. At Bostak Films we start with exactly what you've just read: finding what only your company can tell. Then we handle the whole corporate video, from the script to the versions for each channel, with our own studio in Viladecans and shoots in Barcelona, in the Baix Llobregat or wherever you are. We also work with companies across the rest of Europe and in Asunción.
If you have a video in mind, or a feeling that yours could belong to anyone, book a diagnostic call and we'll look at it together.
