A remote creative agency for companies in Paraguay: what can be done from Spain

Updated October 21, 2026

Yes. Strategy, concept, visual identity, editing, motion graphics and much of the social media content can be done remotely without losing quality. What needs people on site, such as a shoot, is handled with a local crew directed from Spain or with a trip. With a four or five hour difference, the work runs comfortably.

Why a company in Asunción looks for an agency abroad

When a company in Asunción looks for a creative or advertising agency in Paraguay, it finds local options, and many are good. So why consider working with an agency in Spain?

Three reasons come up most. The first is a different perspective: a brand that wants to grow beyond Paraguay, or stand out from what is seen in its market, sometimes needs someone who is not used to the same references. The second is specialisation: there are services, such as video podcast post-production, motion graphics or campaigns built with generative AI, where a team with a lot of practice in that specific format speeds up the result. The third is language: with a team in Spain, everything is done in Spanish, with nothing to translate.

To be clear: at Bostak Films we do not currently have clients in Paraguay. What we do every week is work with clients who are not in our city, in Spain and the United States, using the same processes that would serve a company in Asunción. In fact, we have already explained how it works for podcasts in producing your podcast from Asunción with a production company in Spain.

This article goes a step further: which part of a creative agency's work can be done remotely, which part cannot, and how to organise it so the distance goes unnoticed.

What can be done remotely without losing quality

More than you might think. Almost all of a creative agency's work happens in front of a computer, and that travels well.

Strategy and concept. Kick-off meetings, brand and competitor analysis and idea proposals work perfectly well over video call. What matters here is the quality of the questions, not being in the same room. We describe what an agency does at this stage in what a creative agency is.

Visual identity. Logo, colours, typefaces, a system of applications. It is designed, presented and refined remotely, with shared documents and clear rounds of changes. We explain it in audiovisual branding.

Editing and post-production. If the footage is shot in Paraguay, it is edited in Spain. Cutting, colour, sound, captions and versions for each platform. It is what we already do with shows recorded in the United States, such as The Sage Steele Show, which we edit from Spain with our partner Dull Light.

Motion graphics and animation. Motion graphics, intros, explainer videos and pieces without a shoot are produced entirely remotely.

Generative AI campaigns. Some ads no longer need a physical shoot. The Christmas campaign we made for Bunker, two thirty-second ads, was built with AI-generated characters and sets, art direction and traditional post-production. We explain what works in ads made with generative AI.

Social media content. Planning, scripts, piece design and editing reels from footage the company shoots itself.

What needs people on site: the shoot

The only thing that cannot be done from afar is being in front of the camera. If the piece requires filming people, spaces or products in Paraguay, there are three ways to handle it.

A local crew directed remotely. A camera operator or small crew is hired in Asunción, and direction is done from Spain by video call, watching the camera feed live. Before the shoot, a visual guide is sent with every shot, the lighting and the framing, the so-called shot list, so everyone knows what is needed. It works very well for interviews, testimonials, product and social media pieces.

Footage shot by the company itself. For everyday social media content, it is often enough for someone on the team to film on their phone following clear guidelines: light, framing, sound. The agency turns that into polished pieces.

The crew travels. For an important campaign, an ad or a brand film with heavy art direction, it can make sense for part of the team to travel and shoot there for several days in a row, capturing footage for several pieces at once.

The rule is the same as for any shoot: the better prepared it is, the less the distance matters. A good shoot is decided in pre-production, not on the day.

Time zones, language and ways of working

The time difference between Asunción and Spain is four hours during the European winter and five in summer, because Paraguay keeps the same time all year. In practice, morning in Asunción overlaps with afternoon in Spain: there is a comfortable daily window for meetings.

That difference has an advantage. If the company sends footage or comments at the end of its day, the team in Spain starts on them first thing in their morning, and when Asunción wakes up there is progress. Well organised, the project moves forward almost around the clock.

The language is the same, but there are nuances to look after. Copy, subtitles and scripts should sound like the Paraguayan audience speaks, not like Spanish written in Spain. And Paraguay is a bilingual country: if the brand uses expressions in Guaraní or wants pieces in both languages, that needs agreeing, with someone from the company reviewing. If the brand also wants to reach other countries, we explain how to adapt a video into several languages.

Three things make it work: one person responsible on each side, a shared folder per project, and a calendar with delivery dates and rounds of changes. With that, working remotely is as smooth as working in the same city.

Invoicing, contracts and practical questions

It is normal to have practical questions before working with an agency in another country. These are the most common.

The contract. A proposal is signed setting out the scope, the pieces, the deadlines and the terms, as with any supplier. It should be clear how many rounds of changes each piece includes and who approves on the company side.

Invoicing. A Spanish agency invoices services to companies outside the European Union under its own regulations. It makes sense for your finance team to review it with their adviser before starting, to be clear on taxes and payment method.

Rights. The proposal should state who owns the final pieces, the raw footage and the music, and in which media they can be used. Music needs particular care.

Files. Footage is exchanged through transfer services or shared folders. Video files are large, so a good connection at origin helps, or uploading overnight.

And trust. Working with someone you have not met in person calls for references. Ask to see real work, ask who you will be dealing with, and start with something small before committing to something big.

How to start: a small first project

The best way to find out whether an agency in Spain suits your company is to try a contained project. For example, the visual identity for a new line, a month-long social media campaign, a brand film using footage shot there, or the edit of a podcast pilot. That shows you the workflow, the timings and the quality without a long commitment.

At Bostak Films we are a creative agency and video production company with a studio in Viladecans, next to Barcelona, led by Albert Murillo. We come up with the idea and produce it with the same team: concept, identity, ads, AI campaigns, social media content, music videos and podcasts. Every week we edit shows recorded outside Spain, such as those we handle with our partner Dull Light in Miami, and we work in Spanish with the whole Spanish-speaking world.

If you have a company in Asunción or elsewhere in Paraguay and want to see what we could do together, tell us about it. Our creative agency in Barcelona works the same in person as remotely. Book a free diagnosis by video call, at whatever time suits you best: in half an hour we will work out which project would make sense to start with.

FAQ

Can a company in Paraguay work remotely with a creative agency in Spain?

Yes. Strategy, concept, visual identity, editing, motion graphics, AI campaigns and social media content can all be done remotely without losing quality. What needs people on site, such as a shoot, is handled with a local crew directed by video call or with the team travelling for a specific campaign.

What is the time difference between Asunción and Spain?

Spain is four hours ahead during the European winter and five in summer, because Paraguay keeps the same time all year. Morning in Asunción overlaps with afternoon in Spain, leaving a comfortable daily window for meetings and reviews.

How do you shoot a video in Paraguay if the agency is in Spain?

You hire a local camera operator or small crew and direct remotely, watching the camera feed live by video call, with a shot plan prepared beforehand. For larger pieces, part of the team can travel and shoot several pieces over the same days.

Are there language issues?

No, the work is done in Spanish. But nuances matter: copy should sound like the Paraguayan audience speaks, and if the brand uses Guaraní it needs agreeing how to handle it, with someone from the company reviewing before anything is published.

What project should you start with when working with an agency abroad?

A contained one that lets you see the workflow: a visual identity, a month of social media content, a brand film using footage shot in Paraguay or the edit of a podcast pilot. If it works, you move on to a longer collaboration.

Does Bostak Films have clients in Paraguay?

Not yet. We work with clients in Spain and, with our partner Dull Light, with shows recorded in the United States that we edit from Spain. It is the same remote model we would apply with a company in Asunción, and we are upfront about it before starting.
